Evolution of Haiti in An Hour of Crisis

Building the human potential infrastructure of Haiti.
We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For

4th Thursdays @7pm, and 3rd Saturdays @ 5pm.
Registration and reservation required

It is not so much about waiting for God, but bringing out the God in us.  Not a God based on any one religion.  But the God that exists everywhere.  It is time for us to harvest the God in EACH and ALL of us.   None of us is God in totality.  But ALL of us are part of God in HIS commonality, in HER omnipresence.    More than knowing, understanding, agreeing, or believing, EACH of us needs to be LIVING in that understanding, and be LIVING out that understanding. This time is here and now.

Indeed, WE ARE THE ONES we have been waiting for!!!

In this time of crisis Vaya Institute is offering the following support in the relief efforts for Haiti:

  • Financial Support—We are making standing monetary donations through Yele :http://www.yele.org/
  • Provide FREE community space for fundraising.
  • Provided FREE community space for support groups.
  • Provide FREE professional support to those who are also doing the work (training and peer supervision).  Psychiatrist and social workers are available.

Evolution of Haitian Culture: What will happen as result of this catastrophe to the people of Haiti is what we make of it.   There is an opportunity here for us to turn this into an opportunity for the cultural transformation of Haiti on all three fronts: Politics, economics, and human potential.  It is in the area of maximization of human potential that Vaya is uniquely qualified to offer input. In response to this crisis Vaya wants to champion the discussion of maximization of human potential as a foundation of national rebuilding of Haiti.

While we need to focus on the economic and the political infrastructure challenges which have plagued Haiti, ultimately both of these infrastructure problems are rooted in mindsets, and as such, are actually manifestations of a human potential problem— it is thus a matter of human potential infrastructure.

In rebuilding Haiti we are not going to have enough economic capital to compensate for the weakness in human potential capital.  Neither are we going to have economic capital to compensate for inadequate political capital (e.g., oppression, foreign and domestic).  On the other hand, it is doable to develop economic and political capital from human potential capital.  This does not necessarily happen the other way around.

We can make the maximization of human potential—functioning from the core—a central function of an evolved Haitian cultural identity.   We have this opportunity right here before us, right now We have open-house on 4th Thursdays at 7:00pm to provide a community space to develop this response.  Light meals served.

Three key functionalities for a renewed Haitian culture:

  1. Redressing the cultural-anthropological externalization of God.
  2. Place more of our cultural activities, including religions, in cell-I of motivation science
  3. Promote individual mastery of the power of meaning, the power of choice, and the power of now.

We have open-house on 4th Thursdays at 7:00pm and 3rd Saturdays at 5:00pm to provide a community space to develop this response.
