HIV/AIDS Prevention:

The HIV became a danger to human through the elemental step of evolution, mutation.  It is through (biological/genetic) mutation that living organisms evolve.  This offers a different framing of the challenge we are facing:  It is one of evolution.  It is a challenge for us to evolve in our responses.  HIV is challenging our behavioral adaption.  As noted above (mind health), our present models of behavioral intervention function in a fear-base paradigm (cells II-IV). 

Human Core Community Process (HCP) is offering a paradigm shift in HIV prevention and treatment.  Instead of holding the discussion “if you don’t do this or that you will get HIV or develops AIDS,” we will be engaging the community in the conversation of living life from the core.  The behavioral rationale is that if people are invested in living their lives powerfully from the core, they will, as a byproduct, engage in healthier behaviors. 

At the level of case management, Vaya will be offering life management, because our clients  are more than  case numbers.  All of our case managers receive intensive HCP based training so they are first able to powerfully manage their own lives, before they assume the charge of coaching clients with theirs.
